Metasphere wins Sewer Level Monitoring contract with Anglian Water

Sewer Level Monitoring Metasphere is delighted to announce that it has been selected as the Wastewater Network Monitoring partner for Anglian Water Services (AWS). Metasphere has been awarded this prestigious framework contract to supply Anglian Water’s network of Sewer Level Monitors as part of an overall supply framework contract for up to 8 years. Anglian Water provides mains water and sewerage services in the East of England. The utility company’s operational area totals 27,476 km2 , making it the largest water and sewerage company in England and Wales. The Metasphere Sewer Level Monitoring solution, using the Point Orange logger/ remote telemetry unit (RTU), provides Anglian Water with real time remote monitoring, including intelligent alarm and event data that is communicated directly to AWS’ SCADA system using WITS-DNP3 1.3. Point Orange is an intelligent, compact logger/ RTU, enabling users to manage assets securely and reliably in harsh locations. It provides an easy-to-use, self-contained, low-cost telemetry solution for data collection and monitoring across many applications. The device offers software configurable I/O options, Modbus and SDI-12 master capability whilst providing an array of information across numerous parameters with intelligent alarm reporting functionality. It communicates with Metasphere’s Palette Cloud Telemetry Service, WITS-DNP3/ DNP3 Masters, or FTP/FTPS servers. WITS-DNP3 is an open standard that specifies how utility industry requirements for telemetry, control and monitoring are achieved. WITS-DNP3 achieves interoperability of equipment from various manufacturers. The standard meets these industry specific requirements by extending the well proven DNP3 protocol. Phil Tomlinson, Commercial Director said: ”This is yet another significant contract for Metasphere as it is the second WITS 1.3 framework for the business. We believe this win reiterates our positive message to the market that our products are flexible in providing collaborative solutions that integrate with other devices and systems whilst being easy to use.” Andy Crouch, Anglian Water Framework Manager commented: ”We are very pleased to have Metasphere as one of our key Operation Technology (OT) partners. The continuing rollout of these intelligent, compact loggers will support Anglian Water in achieving its AMP7 targets of reducing the number of spills, and pollutions incidents across our region.” Metasphere employs telemetry to drive sustainable use of the world’s natural resources.

Metasphere launches revolutionary Wastewater Level Monitoring Solution

Wastewater Level Monitoring Solution Leading telemetry expert, Metasphere, is delighted to announce the launch of its revolutionary new Wastewater Level Monitoring solution, ART Sewer. ART Sewer is a ground-breaking Wastewater Level Monitoring solution providing users with an all-in-one approach for cost-effective mass deployment of IoT sensing devices across a wastewater network. Combined with smart machine learning data analytics, ART Sewer’s main benefit is that it is the FIRST-EVER solution to deliver ultimate network visibility, performance and forecasting. This unique approach makes the solution unlike any other offering available in the marketplace today. Contactless Sense Level IoT devices collect and feed sewer level data into Metasphere’s powerful data analytics platform, ART (Analytical Remote Telemetry). This data; combined with historic, current, and forecast rainfall data; detect partial sewer blockages across the network. The solution enables wastewater utilities to proactively manage flow in sewers, pumping stations, manholes and Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs), detect partial sewer blockages as well as monitor and prevent flooding events. ART Sewer helps wastewater utilities prevent wastewater spills, thereby reducing pollution to keep the natural environment clean and protected. The contactless Sense Level IoT sensors, part of the ART Sewer solution, includes support for two LPWAN technologies, NB-IoT and LTE-M, and can be connected to these networks across the globe. Sense Level provides flexibility and simplicity with remote, configurable options for mass deployment across wastewater networks. NB-IoT and LTE-M, developed to enable a wide range of new IoT devices and services, offers significant improvements in power consumption of user devices, system capacity and spectrum efficiency. NB-IoT and LTE-M, also offers longevity of use, as it is a part of 4G and the new 5G standard, keeping the device connected during the next evolution of cellular technology. These benefits translate into huge potential for wastewater utilities, allowing for mass deployment of cost-effective sensor devices at sites delivering efficient IoT connectivity on their networks for wastewater and sewer level monitoring. It delivers ultimate visibility for proactive operational management whilst reducing the Total Cost of Ownership Tim O’Brien, CEO of Metasphere commented: ‘’ ART Sewer is a new strategic direction for our business, using IoT sensor technologies combined with Data Intelligence for large scale mass deployment across wastewater networks. This new revolutionary solution has been developed in line with Metasphere’s core vision of using telemetry to drive sustainable use of the world’s natural resources. ART Sewer offers our customers a full end to end approach to manage wastewater assets in a hazardous environment and reduce pollution to protect these assets for a better greener world.’’
