Metasphere provides customised flood monitoring systems, which can dynamically monitor and alarm when a predetermined risk level is exceeded. Each system can consist of up to 12 sensors monitoring an array of flood-related parameters including: rainfall, soil moisture, groundwater, river levels, flow-rate, sewer levels and water velocity.
Metasphere monitoring systems based on the Point Colour range will take inputs from up to 12 sensors. Sensors are monitored on a pre-defined interval, relevant to both the site and the sensors being deployed.
The Point Colour RTU can be configured to dynamically increase its measurement rate, and dynamically dial in if one of its user-definable alarm levels is breached. Data can be sent back to the Metasphere data service, Palette, where users can view the received data or make use of both the email and SMS alarm functionality. The latter is particularly useful for receiving alarms out of hours.
Data can also be sent to both FTP and DNP3 servers where subsequent alarms can be generated by the user, or data can be used to perform control functions.
